Abraham Martin

In my previous post I introduced Abraham Martin. This is said to be a sketch of him. I like the thought of putting a face with a name on my tree. He is one of my maternal 10th great-grandfathers... actually one of 4,096 to be exact but who's counting?

History books will tell us, 'Abraham Martin came to Quebec City around 1619 or 1620 with his wife and daughter Anne. He received the concession which formed the plateau or Wolfe and Montcalm battle in Quebec. Becoming widowed he married Marguerite Langlois. Deceased in 1647, his name was not perpetuated but other ancestors came to establish themselves in New France and left many descendants.'
